Posse Espresso & Design bar @Rotterdam

Katendrecht is an awesome upcoming hotspot in Rotterdam! What’s great, is that you can get there by water taxi or walk from Hotel New York (which is definitely a stop worth as well)! The Posse Espressobar is a very chill, design cafe with vintage furniture and delicious food! Besides their delicious coffee and food, they have a lot of cultural events going on, they have a bookstore and a gallery! All in all, a great place to hang out with friends! 

The Fenix Food Factory @Rotterdam

The Fenix Food Factory is a fresh market in the Fenixloods located on Katendrecht. The nicest way to go there is if you take the boat or the bridge to Hotel New York and then cross over the small bridge towards the Fenixloods! Beautiful walk! Daily you can go to the Fenix Food Factory to try the Kaapse brewers, the Booij cheese makers, Jordy’s Bakery (my favorite), CiderCider and much more! Seven entrepreneurs from Rotterdam have a stand and share their love for food, expertise and passion in the food industry! 

The Market hall @ Rotterdam

The ‘Markthal’ in Rotterdam is amazing! It makes me think a lot about the FoodHallen in Amsterdam, but then different, because you can shop groceries here as well! I love the colorful and joyful interior! You can shop food, design, go have lunch or dinner at a restaurant, and much more! It’s all under one roof! Check out the rest of the interior! 

International Film Festival @ Rotterdam

It’s this time of the year again! The international film festival of Rotterdam! This is already the 44^th edition, however it only runs until the 1^st of February, so this is your last weekend to enjoy the program!

Brasserie Pierre @Rotterdam

At Brasserie Pierre you have a real Parisian feeling! You can have delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner and can enjoy their terrasse whenever there is sun of course! They offer delicious French cuisine, good wines and outstanding coffee! Pierre transformed the traditional French cuisine into refined and fresh meals. Their ‘petits plats’ (small dishes) are excellent if you are not too hungry or if you want to share with your beloved! Of course you also have the bigger dishes you can choose from! At Pierre you are always surprised, because the chef changes the menu a bit every week to surprise the guests! I love it!

A day-tour in Rotterdam

GROOS Rotterdam
If you are by train and arriving at Rotterdam Central Station, you are actually at the first hotspot since this station has a very spectaculair architecture! The closest cool shop to Central Station is Groos. A department store that only sells Rotterdam origin based products. I really like this store! My boyfriend bought me a lovely necklace from the Boyscouts at Groos! It’s a must see 🙂

Last Night I went back to roots, back to my student city! Always good to be back in Rotterdam, and definitely to be back at LittleV! A great asian restaurant, but very different then others!

De Groene Passage @Rotterdam

The Groene Passage has my FAVORITE dessert in Rotterdam. I always went there to have a light dinner, and make sure I had enough space left for the Chocolate Mudd Mouse… It special because it contains pieces of chocolate in it, not just a normal mousse 😉 YUM !

The Groene Passage is a human and environmental friendly tiny ‘shopping center’ where you can buy many sustainable lifestyle products. You also have the biological supermarket inside! The place where I get my yummy dessert from is Spirit, the biological restaurant!

If you are in for yummy bio food, sustainable shopping, inspiring books, magazines and workshops, this is the place to be for you! But i definitely recommend you to try the chocolate mousse 😉

If only they opened a store in Amsterdam… HINT HINT @Groene Passage!
